Olson 1to1 continued our stellar run of growth in the beginning of 2017, adding 22 new team members and growing our headcount past 200 team members for the first time in agency history. Among the new arrivals, Denise Holt arrived as the new leader of our strategy practice, joining the agency leadership team. This spring, we were pleased to welcome the following individuals to our team:
Denise Holt, VP – Strategy & Insights
With over 17 years of experience in consumer loyalty, brand and creative strategy, consumer insights, human-centered design and business strategy, Denise Holt has joined Olson 1to1 to lead our strategy and insights discipline. Prior to Olson, she ran her own strategy consulting practice, was director of strategy & branding at Optum, and spent over a decade in marketing and brand planning roles within the loyalty space. Denise earned a BBA in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and an MBA in Management from the University of St. Thomas.
Katie Berndt, Director – Strategy
Katie joins Olson 1to1 with more than 14 years of consumer marketing experience within the financial services industry. Prior to joining Olson 1to1, Katie spent nearly 10 years with Transamerica where she held a variety of marketing roles including leading teams responsible for driving acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies (targeting 401k participants and IRA customers). Katie earned a BBA in marketing from the University of North Dakota and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
Brian Reid, Senior Strategist
Brian Reid joins Olson 1to1 to focus on building our strategy, research, and trends/insights repository in support of our Think Like People® agency positioning. In addition, he will provide strategic support for a number of clients. Brian’s previous experience includes stops at American Express in customer marketing, General Mills in brand marketing, and most recently Jostens, where he managed customer and content marketing. Brian is a proud graduate of Morehouse College.
Josh Ahlberg, Account Director
Josh joins Olson 1to1 with more than 13 years of experience across all facets of marketing and advertising. While his most recent experience was a sales leadership role supporting CPG brands, he has spent the majority of his career working for some of the most iconic brands in the world, including General Mills, Best Buy and BBDO NY. Josh is a homegrown Minnesotan, and a University of Minnesota graduate, where he studied communications, business and marketing.
Emmanuelle Mehta, Associate Account Director
Emmanuelle joins Olson 1to1 as an associate account director on our Luxottica team, where she will lead client service for Target Optical, Sears Optical and Pearle Vision. Prior to joining Olson 1to1, Emmanuelle worked at McCann Minneapolis, where she was dedicated to the land of cereal and refrigerated baked goods (i.e., General Mills). She earned a BA in Marketing and French from the University of St. Thomas.
Jonathan Holmgren, Account Supervisor
Jonathan joins Olson 1to1 with over ten years’ experience in database marketing and loyalty & CRM where his roles have typically centered around a balance of technology and client management. Some of his past experience includes work in Technology (IBM), Retail (Target), Pharma (Bristol-Myers Squibb), Travel (United Airlines) and Wellness (RedBrick Health). Jonathan is a University of Minnesota–Duluth graduate as well as a certified yoga instructor.
Abigail Meixelsperger, Senior Account Manager
Abbey has joined Olson 1to1’s Wyndham team as a senior account manager focusing on technology. With years of experience in marketing focused on CPG, franchisee and education clients, most recently at Minneapolis digital agency FRWD, she is excited to jump into the worlds of loyalty and hospitality. Abbey is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas.
Jessica Keinert, Account Manager
Jess has joined Olson 1to1 as an account manager working with our Amtrak Guest Rewards team. Previously, the University of Wisconsin–Stout graduate spent six years as a project manager and graphic designer at Vanson Technology Services.
Matt Marash, Senior Database Engineer
Matt joins Olson 1to1 as a senior database engineer with over 18 years of experience with a mixture of database development, design and administration. Initially, he will support our Amtrak Guest Rewards account and will be progressively joining additional client teams. Prior to joining Olson 1to1, Matt worked for several area companies including U.S. Bank, UnitedHealth Group, Bluestem Brands and RBA Consulting. Matt is a St. Cloud State University graduate and is currently a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert on the data platform.
Ritesh Maharjan, Software Engineer
Ritesh has joined Olson 1to1 as a software engineer on the Tally® loyalty platform team. Previously, Ritesh spent four years at Thompson Reuters where he worked in a variety of different areas on their legal products. Ritesh earned an undergraduate degree in information systems from Minnesota State University–Mankato and is currently a candidate for a master’s degree in data science at the University of St. Thomas.
Zoë Peterson, Associate Software Engineer
Zoë Peterson has joined Olson 1to1 as an associate software engineer on the Wyndham team. She is a recent graduate of the University of Minnesota–Twin Cities.
David Isakson, Associate Software Engineer
David Isakson joins Olson 1to1 as an associate software engineer on the Wyndham team. He joins Olson 1to1 from The Software Guild, a Java-based coding boot-camp and is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–River Falls.
Wes Thayer, Business Analyst
Wes has joined Olson 1to1 as a business analyst, primarily focusing on our Hyatt account. Previously, Wes worked at SPS Commerce, Inc., holding various roles ranging from technical support and operations to business analyst. He is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas.
Christine Schutta, Business Analyst
Christine has joined Olson 1to1 as a technical business analyst, focusing on Wyndham, and brings over 10 years of BA experience. Previously, she worked at Merrill Corporation, Patterson and Thomson Reuters. Christine is a graduate of the College of St. Benedict, holds an MBA in global management, and earned the CBAP in 2013.
Daniel Zschomler, SQL DBA
Daniel has joined Olson 1to1 as a SQL Server database administrator. Daniel has over 10 years of SQL Server experience.
Margo Brousseau, QA Analyst
Margo has joined Olson 1to1 as a quality assurance analyst for Wyndham. Margo has over 15 years of QA experience, including time at Bloom Health, Definity Health and several other health care startups in the Twin Cities. Margo is a University of Rochester graduate.
Samantha Klein, Email Tester
Samantha has joined Olson 1to1 as an email tester for Amtrak, Best Buy and Citi. Prior to joining the Olson 1to1 team, Samantha spent over a decade as a professional librarian before jumping into the technology world. She trained as a software developer at Prime Digital Academy in Bloomington, Minn., and holds a BM and a BA from Georgia Southern University, and an MLS from Indiana University.
Zach Hintgen, Email Tester
Zach’s journey to Olson1 to1 is an interesting one. After graduating from culinary school at Le Cordon Bleu and spending seven years in various roles in the food service industry, Zach was looking for a new challenge. His quest for something new led him to Prime Digital Academy, where he studied full-stack software engineering. His foray into the technology world has led him to Olson 1to1 and he could not be happier.
Kristina Nysather, Senior Project Manager
Kristina joins Olson 1to1 as a senior project manager supporting the Luxottica and Best Buy accounts. She started her career in advertising and digital operations at the Star Tribune, then joined the agency world at Infinity Direct as a digital project manager. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.
Emily Maday, Senior Project Manager
Emily has over 10 years of experience successfully leading and managing creative initiatives across multiple platforms, including web, email, ecommerce, print, and digital menu boards. Previously, she served as the creative services director at WAND, where she worked with QSR and Fast Casual restaurant clients. Emily received her CPPM from the University of St. Thomas and a B.S. Applied Economics and Business Management from the University of Minnesota.
Melbye Jess, Project Manager
Joining Olson 1to1 from The Lacek Group, Melbye brings over 5 years of account and project management experience. A self-professed “digital queen,” Melbye will manage numerous streams of work within Olson 1to1’s Citi and Best Buy accounts.
Jean Cox, Senior Copywriter
Jean is a senior copywriter who comes to Olson 1to1 from Hanley Wood Marketing, where she worked on 3M, Brookfield Residential, and Synchrony Financial. Prior to that, Jean had a “big, fat” career as an editorial director and content strategist with F+W, an enthusiast media and ecommerce company.
